A Message From Mrs. Howard

Week of December 2, 2024

Hello Clear Sky Families!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break that was spent with family and friends! It is hard to believe that we have entered the month of December!

It is that point of our school year in which we will be giving our mid-year standardized assessments. Prior to winter break, your child’s teacher will be administering the iReady assessment in Reading and in Math. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions that you may have regarding the iReady assessment.

Here at Clear Sky we are continuing with our Adopt a Family program for the holidays to support families in need within our community. If this is something that you would like to assist with, we are collecting gift cards in increments of $25 to places such as King Soopers, Walmart or Target. If you have any questions with the Adopt a Family program, please contact Mrs. Abeer Sawaged at [email protected] or Ms. Lynsey Karagan at [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration to support this program!

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Mrs. Dome and her choir for their truly fantastic Winter Concert! I have watched numerous elementary choir performances in the past 21 years I have been in education and this concert certainly rose to the top! Thank you to our families for your commitment to our choir to ensure that your student makes it to school early for rehearsals. Thank you to Mrs. Dome for organizing everything and to her personal dedication to our music program here at Clear Sky. Well done!

Thank you for your continued support! Have a wonderful week!

Educationally yours,

Michelle Howard
Clear Sky Elementary Principal

Adopt a Family Program
Dear CSE Families,

In the past, we have organized an Adopt a Family program for the holidays to support families in need within our community. This year, we are adjusting our approach and inviting community members who wish to help to consider donating gift cards to King Soopers, Walmart, or Target in increments of $25. These gift cards will directly benefit families in need, allowing them to purchase essentials and gifts during the holiday season.

If you would like to donate, please feel free to purchase a gift card to one or more of these stores and drop off your donation at the front office with Kanoi. We will be collecting gift cards now through December 6th.

If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Sawaged at [email protected] or Ms. Lynsey Karagan at lkaragan1@dcsdk12.org

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support! We know that this time of year can be especially challenging for some of our community members, and your kindness will make a meaningful impact.
