DCSD School Closure Information

The Douglas County School District (DCSD) is coordinating with local public health agencies to monitor the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). We are keeping in close contact with the Tri-County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on this subject.

CSE Treehouse Support - So much has changed over the past few weeks as we enter into remote learning for the remainder of this year. During this time we wanted to provide our students and families with useful resources while at home. CSE knows how difficult this time may be for our students, and wanted you to know we are here to support you along the way. Tree House has been a great resource for our students to utilize and learn ways to work through big and small problems, practice calming strategies, and get ready to learn. Through this site we aim to do the same for our CSE family. (Visit the Tree House link under the Parent Resource tab.)

Remote Learning - As of now, the Governor Polis has ordered all in-person K-12 learning be stopped through the end of the 2020-21 school year.

Tech Help @ Home - During our time of remote learning, you might encounter some technical issues. Please use Mrs. Jensen's  "Remote Learning Tech Help as your first stop. Try some of the tips and tricks she has shared. You will find contact information for her as well.

Free Lunches & Breakfasts - BEGINNING MAY 18th - Due to construction, DCSD had to move their serving location from South Ridge Elementary to the Methodist church just up the street. Please make sure to take a look at the new flyer here:  May 18th PDF
Free Home Internet - Xfinity WiFi hotspots will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser. See more info here about other help we are offering too: https://corporate.comcast.com/covid-19

Spring 2020 CMAS and CoAlt Paused
Administration of the CMAS (all subjects) and CoAlt (science and social studies) assessments has been paused for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to extensive school closures throughout Colorado to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
